If your child is participating in Ballet exams, dance conventions and/or competitions, families need to plan to travel out of town. Recital tickets and performance videos are not included in dance fees. There will also be an initial cost of a dance uniform. The requirements for this can be found in our DRESS CODE and many items can be found second hand through our facebook community page. We also have a store on-site where all items can be purchased.
Yes! Contact THE STUDIO to speak with Kenley or Jacqui regarding where your child should be placed and arrangements will be made to try out a class for FREE!
Please read the DRESS CODE for a list of what to wear. THE STUDIO has a small dance store, which sells proper dance footwear, tights and leotards (plus much more!) that can be added directly to your Jackrabbit account.
THE STUDIO has a kitchen, bathroom and change room area for students to hang out before, in between and after classes. Students are encouraged to take full advantage of this space but also to keep it clean! This space is available outside of our daycare hours, from 4:30pm onward; if your child is dancing before 4:30pm there are cubbies and hooks in the big hallway upstairs that can be used.
Parents have access to viewing windows in both studio spaces along with a small sitting area complete with complimentary coffee and tea.
Please contact THE STUDIO to speak with either Jacqui or Kenley directly.
A dancer must have taken a recreational class before auditioning for the competitive program. An audition is required of every competitive student each year before classes begin in September. Summer training is a great way to prepare your child for the upcoming season.
Competitive dancers are also required to take Ballet in order to participate in this program. Required classes vary depending on age.
Please contact THE STUDIO to speak with Jacqui or Kenley regarding your child’s interest in competitive dance.
