PROGRAMS & CLASSES
At THE STUDIO we have many programs to accommodate different schedules, lifestyles and ages.
Full Year Dance Classes - Run from September through to the end of May with most classes participating in our Annual Dance Recitals. This includes our recreational program and our competitive program.
Semester Classes - We offer three separate semesters. Fall Semester with classes running September through November, Winter Semester with classes running January through March and Spring Semester with classes running April through June. These classes do not participate in any performances and have offerings for both adults and children taught in multiple styles.

PROGRAMS
Our recreational program consists of classes where dancers of all ages and abilities can benefit from all genres of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Acro Dance. Students will learn persistency, adaptability, responsibility and coordination; along with team building and creativity. We encourage all of our dancers to attend class regularly and practice dance outside of class.
Our recreational program underlines fun and staying active with a casual nature for children to pursue other interests outside of dance. Classes are offered to both full season and semester programs.
THE STUDIO’s competitive program is divided into different groups each year. Auditions are required annually to participate in our "COMPANY". Competitive dancers are required to enroll in certain classes based on their group placement to advance their technique and performance. Dancers only competing in Hip Hop are required to enroll in Grooving class. Competitive students are held to the highest expectations for attendance and work ethic in class.
Placement in a COMPANY is based on a dancer's strengths, skills and work ethic. We do our best to place dancers with similar talents together to help them grow and learn from each other. Our competitive groups are not based on age or years of experience but are determined from the outcome of our competitive auditions.
Competitive classes are only available for the full season program.
THE STUDIO offers adult dance fitness classes for any level or age over 18. Our classes are mixed with both alumni dancers and beginner level dancers - EVERYONE IS WELCOME! The purpose of adult dance is to have fun and keep active! Adult classes are offered for Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Heels, Dancehall, Contemporary, Parent & Preschooler and Barre Fitness.
Adult dance classes are part of our semester program and can run for 5 or 10 week series. Please view the schedule for more details.
THE STUDIO offers summer dance training for both recreational and competitive dancers. Our goal is to provide an educational, fun program which allows for dancers to continue training in the off-season.

CLASSES
In Tiny Dancers we move through 3 disciplines of dance. Students will begin with Ballet from September through December; this style builds the foundation of technique and students will learn/perform a dance that will partake in our annual Winter Production. From January through February, the focus will shift to creative movement, to learn the base for Modern, Contemporary and improvisational dance. Last but not least, we finish the season with Tap for March through May, where students gain musicality and rhythm. Students complete the year with a Tap performance in the annual Year End Recitals.
A style of dance that originated in the 15th century and is still one of the most popular forms today. Ballet is considered the foundation of most dance styles and has several different syllabi that are practiced around the world. At THE STUDIO we practice The Cecchetti Method of Ballet; recognized worldwide as one of the highest standards of training for teachers and dancers.
